Buzludzha Peak

The starting sites for gliding around Buzludzha peak are two. The place under Buzludzha peak is accessible by car. Second place is under Mount Sarajar. To reach it, we use the services of local people.

The approach to the mountain starts from the village of Dolno Izvorovo. Transportation by jeep on the forest roads is an interesting adventure – the climb is 15 minutes. From the take-off meadow there is a view of the entire Rose Valley. The west view extends through the peaks Buzludzha and Shipka to Triglav. To the south is the town of Kazanlak and the Sredna Gora Mountain. The place is rich in history and culture.

The one-day walk can be combined with a visit to the mound Golyama Kosmatka, the Shipka Cathedral, the peaks of Shipka and Buzludzha, the Buzludzha-Vetrocom Wind Farm.
